VVS Laxman was as usual fabulous with his astonishing knock of 73 off 79 balls which includes 8 classic boundaries. The innings was special because the runs came out when he was injured and had a runner in the middle. All the players have contributed to the win, however, Ishant Sharma's contribution is worth mentioning. His pace has scalped Australia's 3 top order batsmen and limited their innings total to only 192. Australia was looking strong with 87 for no loss before Ishant was introduced to ball his spell. Ishant's contribution with bat is also worth mention. He made 31 and was involved in a long partnership with injured Laxman. Man of the match was awarded to Zaheer Khan for his 8 wickets in the match.
India is looking a strong side and with this team, we are looking forward to clean sweep the series with a 2-0 win in the second test starting October 9th.
